Hi Ruggiero,
I found the error at your error log about fetching URL:
CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir
please edit your php.ini file.
open_basedir or safe_mode and either turn them off
if you don't know how to do it please ask your hosting support.
php curl_setopt function is mandatory for fetching external URL. not optional.
Regards,
Albert
I asked my hosting provider (one.com), here is the answer:
Please note that safe_mode is disabled on our servers. However, open_basedir can not be disabled.
What other possibility was? Note: I updated JS to 3.2.0.5
You can contact support one.com 24/24 in English for other information / details. (no login needed for support, domain: djmoro.com).
It is 1 000 000 customers use one.com, I think others use JomSocial and will therefore have the same problem ...
Hi Ruggiero,
i'm sure your issue must be server restriction problem. but to make sure again I will download your site from akeeba backup. and make local copy. it more easy and faster to debugging your issue. sorry for delay.
please changing the status to pending support if you read this reply.

Albert
Hi Ruggiero,
your hosting provider have limitation. they said:
To make sure that only legitimate scripts are executed on our customers' web spaces, we have enabled open_basedir.
"only legitimate scripts".
jomsocial script for fetching URL content at status box must be disabled open_basedir. this is mandatory.
mostly almost all webhosting can disabled open_basedir. because not all php functions can works with open_basedir enable.

Albert
