Upgrading from 2.6

I have JS 2.6 on Joomla 2.5 and I want to upgrade to 3.1+

I could not find any of my old login or billing information so I just bought a standard package again so I can upgrade.

Seems all I can do now is DOWNLOAD but when I read the documents it says to Upgrade 1 by 1 till I am at the new version

How can I upgrade this thing???

If I just reinstall the latest version will it wipe out my data?

First make a backup copy of your site. If you feel shaky to do upgrade on your life site - install copy on your server ad try to make upgrade.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Where am I downloading the versions none are available to my account except the current one
