Hi,
I have version JS3.2.0.1 installed on J2.5.19.
Now when users are registering via JS:
1°) they don't receive an email asking to verify their email address. They simply receive an email stating that the administrator will validate their account.
2°) When I approve users via JS, the account in the user manager remains not activated

The parameters in the user manager are well set up with the need for Admin to validate the account, which should imply that the user receives a validation email first.

Before (like one week ago), the process was working fine.

How to get the validation email back to work?

Thanks
yves

Hi, yves.

1. I confirm that. I add this as a bug to fix for our developers.
2. You can ignore that. Users can log in even if Activated is still marked red.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,

do you have any idea when the point 1° (about the fact that the user is not asked anymore to check his/her email when registering) will be solved? It was not in the recent release 3.2.0.3 (I just tested with it as well).

thanks
yves

Hi,

In addition to the problem of email verification, I have discovered another problem:
when a user is registering, there is no test any more if the user choses a login name which includes spaces for instance (or possible diacritical characters).
Before the upgrade 3.2.0.1 the test was still implemented.

yves

Hi, Yves.

I was talking with product owner and it seems that case where administrator activates accounts was omitted... I still clearing this out.
As for latest issue: check was deprecated - it's not needed anymore.

Dear Michal,

Do you have any news about when that issue will be fixed?
Because I am obliged to monitor manually all the registration requests and send emails back to the registering users (they even don't receive notification about their account details and acceptance of their registration).

Thanks in advance
yves

Hi, Yves.

PO admit that we should enable this feature in future releases.
I reported it as a bug so it should push things forward.

Hi, Yves.

This should be improved in JomSocial 3.3.
