I'm installing the upgrade from the last stable version - not a RC version - in a development directory using a copy of my installation and the upgrade hangs at the preparing database step
I've deleted ALL jomsocial menus, uninstalled jomsocial and reinstalled it twice and it hangs at the same place each time I make it to
socialarchitect.com/32upgrade/administra...er&task=prepdatabase
and it stalls at Upgrading Database
I'd appreciate any help at all.

When I logged at administrator. there is a fatal errors. seem you forget to uninstall the plugins. could you please upload your jomsocial package/installer at tmp folder. sorry for this inconvenience

ok - i've cleared out all the files, uploaded a current akeeba backup and uploaded/extracted the current jomsocial file into the tmp folder.
every single plugin with jomsocial in its name is uninstalled
jomsocial menu is uninstalled
trash is empty
new login info is going into the original ticket now. thanks for the help.

becuase I can't access your cpanel, please try this at your phpmyadmin:
1. browse table community_config
2. backup the data
3. delete any records with name = dbversion
after that back to administrator: components - jomsocial (it will installing process)

I fixed the issue as outlined in the duplicate entry post. When I downloaded the latest package I had the exact same issue - and went to my isp for help as to why community_config has duplicate entries.

there is no key so it allows duplicate entries. if they would simply define the name as a key, then this wouldn't happen
