There were some posts on this topic where tables were missing from the database and Dismas has posted some additions to the database that fixed their issues - however, they are not the same as the error I am receiving: here is the error that I am getting when it tries to show the jomsocial page on the backend administrator.

Fixed. Next time run this SQL query in PhpMyAdmin:

ALTER TABLE `_community_users` ADD `events` TEXT NOT NULL AFTER `groups` ;
