T3 installation

I have recently installed jomsocial and socialize and I gather I have to install T3 framework but not sure exactly which version I need to install and also instruction asks for T3 framework to be set as default template but not sure what this means as I want to use socialize as the default template, How can I use both as default templates ?.

Hi, Muddaiah.

Just install T3 framework plugin that came along with Socialzie package.
Enable it.
Then check if Joomla! display information that there is newer version of T3 Framework - then update it.

You can use in Joomla ! as many templates as you like - using template assignment feature. You can assign certain template to menu item ;)

There could be only one default template. Set Socialize as a default.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
