Hi,
I am installing the professional version on a second site. First site no issues. Second site I am getting the following error:
Error connecting to the server: %s
Invalid URL
I am getting the same error using either the installer or uploading the package files (I uploaded to server first then installed from link due to limit on upload size). I know my support option only offers the initial domain but surely we need to be able to at least install on further domains ok? I note I am only allowed to change the support domain 2 more times.

Hi, Andrew.

Pleas try to add this to your htaccess:

php_flag "allow_url_fopen" "On"
php_flag "allow_url_include" "On"

What version of JomSocial you want to install?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi,
That just crashed the site completely.
Trying to install professional edition 3.1.1. Also noted that when I go into the installer it states expiry date tomorrow, yet have 178 days left
