Upgrading to new version 3.2 of JS means that I've to lost all my user data?
In which way all users could continue to use their data (photo, video, groups, activity)?
I know that is a RC version but we use also a local network version for testing our developing.
My team could use all data or we need to create again profile, groups.....
In iJoomla Installer I have to click on "override"? (3.1.1 version?)
Please explain me.
Hi Gabriele,
You will not lost all of your data if you do an upgrade but WE SUGGEST TO DO A BACKUP (YOUR WEBSITE + DATABASE ) FIRST in case something crash or wrong with your site, you can rolled back into the previous version.. :)
you can test it from your local network but if you are using your online database, maybe there are some broken image on your local :)
Warm regards,
David
Installation of 3.2 rc1 versione blocked on updating Jomsocial database.
I deinstall Community component, module and plugin. Nothing works on new installation.
What I have to do???
Explain step by step what to do to upgrade from 3.1.1 to 3.2 RC1. Thanks.
- I haven't the walls for writing status!
- Drop down menu (down the navigation bar) is blocked... And if I change the type of stream from backend I got a Mysql error...
(Now I come back to 3.1.1 .....)
Hi Gabriele,
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. We apparently had a real issue on our forum and some posts simply were not visible for us. Our developers are currently fixing this issue and this should not happen again. I hope this didn't create a problem for you
Back to your question about upgrade JS into RC1. Did you do a backup before upgrade ? if you did, i will help you to upgrade into 3.2 RC1..
Please give me your joomla backend credentials by edit your first post and addedd it into there.
Warm Regards,
DAvid
Gabriele wrote: Here you have backend/admin access.
I've got a backup copy of my site.
Good luck!
(in your answers: no url, no sitename, no screenshot - Thanks)
Hi Gabriele,
can you help me to change your website setting about MySQL configuration on connect_timeout.. on your setting it value is 10, can you change into 120 or 150 ? thats why your upgrade stuck on extract database because we need more than 10s to extract the databse :)
Warm regards,
David
PHPinfo:
Mysql.connect_timeout is 360 not 10. You can see it from site backend (Site information).
Version 3.2 rc doesn't work.
No walls... did you see that users can't write status or share anything?
Hi Gabriele,
Can you go to your phpmyadmin and check this query on it ?
after go to phpmyadmin, click on sql menu.. it usually on top menu..
copy this query :
show variables like 'connect_timeout';
SET GLOBAL connect_timeout=360;
show variables like 'connect_timeout';
Hi Gustavo,
Some little update from me:
#1 can you make sure your mysql account has permission for altering the table?
#2 can you provide me phpmyadmin access, please? so I can check the database issue directly from there.
Thank you very much
