I can't get the jomsocial homepage/landing page to work (in mainmenu). Shows blank page. If you can also fix it so that all jomsocial links works with Joomla SEO Setting URL Rewrite enabled.There are also control panel dashboard issue that is probably caused by jomsocial css.

Hi Jake,

Looks like your template caused the problems. I changed into another template, it works perfectly.
maybe you have any overrides?
could you provide me FTP access detail?

Regards,
Albert

I updated the original post to include the temporary ftp access details. Please let me know when you're done investigating/fixing so that I can close the the temporary ftp access. Thanks for your help.

I can see that jomsocial works when I change it to the default joomla template. Just sad that you can't help me with the 3rd party template.

Can you have a look at the back-end control panel dashboard layout issue? The layout broke when I installed jomsocial. Reverting back to original joomla templates doesn't resolve the issue. Please advise.

Hi Jake,

That because your module setup not correct. at modules manager - adminstrator section - module name: My Recently Added Articles - advance. the bootstrap size is 1. bootstrap size is for container/box width size. use 0 for full width.

Albert

Thanks for that I don't usually touch admin module i'm not sure how it got into 1 from 0. Since there's nothing left to do (not fixing) on the 3rd party template issue I'll mark this ticket as resolved. Thanks for your help.

Posting the solution to the 3rd party template issue just in case others might stumble into similar issues. The 3rd party template hides the 'frontpage' view when there is no article in the normal featured blog category.

on template index.php

Original Code:

<?php if (JRequest::getVar('view') != 'frontpage'): ?>
<div id="component"><jdoc:include type="component" /></div>
<?php endif ?>

Changed it to:

<?php //if (JRequest::getVar('view') != 'frontpage'): ?>
<div id="component"><jdoc:include type="component" /></div>
<?php endif ?>

Now it shows the jomsocial dashboard/home.
