JPEG Library not found, can't proceed

I've the same problem of Alex on installing jomsocial 2.8.4.2.
I can´t install it.
That´s a Problem with JPEG Library jomsocial can´t find it...!

You use outdated and unsupported version of JomSocial.
Please upgrade to current version -> 3.1.1

- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements

Michal, please.. I Know.
I'm trying just to do so, as you guys told me, I've to upgrade step by step.
I'm stopped at the point of having Joomla 2.5.19 and Jomsocial 2.6.0.
Next step is to update jomsocial -> 2.8.0 and I can't proceed.
I've the same problem of my colleague Alex and I'm stuck.

Now I reached the final step to 2.8, but I see nothing when start the site. Can I proceed to joomla 3.0?
Can I take the user and put directly in the 3.2 jomsocial version?
