Hello,
I'm Murray, a software developer working for Stuart Peden, the account holder.
I have been asked to upgrade perthssc.com JomSocial from 3.0 to the most current version. Unfortunately, while the installation process completes without error, JomSocial is not installed correctly.
I have tried to install via the iJoomla Installer and a manual upload of the 3.1 installer. Both give the same result.
I have uninstalled the previous JomSocial components before upgrading.
The error message I get is as follows, when I try to access the JomSocial admin component after the installation (
www.perthssc.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_community
):
Warning: require_once(/home/perthssc/public_html/components/com_community/libraries/core.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/perthssc/public_html/administrator/components/com_community/community.php on line 71
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/perthssc/public_html/components/com_community/libraries/core.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/perthssc/public_html/administrator/components/com_community/community.php on line 71
In my investigation of the issue, I found that several .zip files were not unpacked during the installation, resulting in the above required file not existing:

Looking into some of the installer.php code (from admin/controllers/installer.php), some of this kind of code is rather disturbing, as it seems to be ignoring errors:
if ( ! $installer->install($package['dir']))
{
// There was an error installing the package
}
I'd appreciate any help you can give resolving this issue.
