Where is mail function in Jomsocial?

I have serious issues with Jomsocial not sending emails anymore. It works with any other Joomla component. Where can I find the code that handles the mail sending in Jomsocial? I am trying to do some "reverse engineering" to find out where the culprit lies.

I like you to check the jomsocial backend > configuration > site
If there any think missing then fill up with and let me know if the problem still exist.
BTW, i was unable to login at your site backend. if you need further help then please fill up the admin access credentials.
