Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I am trying to migrate my jomsocial site to Joomla 3.0 so I can use the new socialize template. I have done the following:
1. installed a clean Joomla 2.5
2. installed jomsocial 3.X
3. export iml_users from source db
4. export jml_community_* tables from source db
5. Import jml_users and jml_community_* tables into fresh joomla 2.5 db
when I try to login I get this error:
"You cannot access the private section of this site."
What tables have i missed?
I am doing it this way since I could not do a direct upgrade of my site from Joomla 2.5 to 3.0 . I always get the white screen of death.
Change "Update server" from "Long Term Support (recommended)" to "Short Term Support". Then upgrade your installation.
No db migration needed :)
Please confirm if it works for you.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

In my opinion it's better to resolve /libraries/joomla/error/error.php on line 797 issue than try to export and import data to db.
Give it a try on copy of your 2.5 system. Try to upgrade or uinstall all other extension but JomSocial... and try to comment out line 797 in error.php. or ask for solution on Joomla! forum.
