I recently installed JomSocial v3.1.0.4 to a client's website, and I am unable to access certain dashboard links, such as site configuration and event settings. When I click on such links, it will timeout after 2 minutes (I did configure MySQL settings to have connect timeouts at 120s) and generate a 503 Service Unavailable message.

I made sure that when I installed JomSocial that the server met or exceeded all the minimum requirements (the memory limit was set to 512M).

I also uninstalled the JomSocial Update plugin, but I still experience time-out issues

I just tried it and seems working fine for me.

Yes, the website loads the main page of the JomSocial's dashbard, and certain dashboard menu links on the left works (i.e. Monitor -> Members). But when I click on Configuration -> Site, that's when the time-out occurs.

Ehm this is weird.. can you check on your php error log? what do you get? any error detail?

I will go ahead and install JomSocial on my local computer and see how well it runs.

Ehm weird timeout error... anyway have you tested in in your local? how it goes? if everything all right, it can be the server issue
