I update to joomla 3.1.0.2 and after the update i can access to joomsocial configuation, when i try to access i get the error String could not be parsed as XML (jomsocial-->configuration-->site).

The error log show this
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: SimpleXMLElement::__construct(): <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> in /var/www/vhosts/fungipedia.org/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_community/libraries/autoupdate.php on line 169

I check your code and it try to parse the file www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial.xml that don't exist in your servers.

Hi, Aitor Calvo.

Please could you provide us with working administrator credentials?
I can't log in to your backend.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal, I think that is a problem with your servers (global problem), you can see in the support foum that other people have the same problem.

How can I disable the version check?

Hi, Aitor Calvo.

Please try this solution:

Step 1 : Disable the jomsocialupdate plugin
Step 2 : In the file administrator/components/com_community/views/configuration/view.html.php
Comment lines:
// require_once( JPATH_ROOT.'/administrator/components/com_community/libraries/autoupdate.php' );
// $isuptodate = CAutoUpdate::checkUpdate();
Add line :
$isuptodate = true;
