Dear Sir,

I am trying to install the updated version on JomSocial on one of my developing site and i am stuck in between while installation. As i am working on Joomla 3.2.1 and jomSocial 3, I am following the steps for upgrading as provided here documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Migrate..._and_JomSocial_3.0.x

Please check the enclosed file which can give help you get the process from where i cannot go further for installation.

Hi Steve,

Just follow this steps :) PLEASE HAVE A BACKUP DONE FIRST !!!!
- Enable maximum error reporting in the global configuration
- Unistall JomSocial, remove the JomSocial/ toolbar menus from backend's 'Menu Manager' and then all corresponding tables from the MySQL database (take your time and make sure you erase EVERYTHING related to the toolbar). Then re-install/upgrade JomSocial..
- see what error appears (if any). Please let me know.

Hello,

As you said to delete all the Jomsocial related stuffs like menu's, toolbar and database tables, Before i proceed with the removal of database tables, i would like to confirm from you that do i will lost all of my data that i have stored in database with Previous JomSocial installation ?
If yes how can i get back all the previous data for my community members ? like, Wall posts, Images, videos, profile friends etc.

Hi Steve,

No, you don't lose your database with previous installation if you already BACKED UP your database..

I found a simple way to solved this problem :) Maybe you can try re-install jomsocial toolbar and then upgrade your jomsocial...
If you still have a problem how to upgrade, can you give me access to your backend as super admin user ? because i tried to login using user and password that you provide is incorrect..

Hi David,

I have tried it many times but it does not work for me. I have took backup of my database today now, Please proceed with what you can help with installation.
I have reset the password now again.
Please try this as password [ case sensitive without quotes ] with same details as previous " 123JSsupport$ "

Please let me know if you any any further issues in accessing the backend.
