JomSocial Expired

Hello,

if I check for Updates with Updatechecker in JomSocial, I have newest version of JomSocial 3.1.0.1 but there ist 3.1.0.2!
If I check with iJoomla installer, there is an Update to 3.1.0.2 an I update my JomSocial.
But why modules/mod_statistics, mod_community_members is overwrited after update? There are no modifications in patchfile if I download this manuell? iJoomla Updater should only overwrite modified files!

Hi, Danny.

We have two things here:

1.

if I check for Updates with Updatechecker in JomSocial, I have newest version of JomSocial 3.1.0.1 but there ist 3.1.0.2!
If I check with iJoomla installer, there is an Update to 3.1.0.2 an I update my JomSocial.

You're right, I replicated it on my site. So it's a bug and I'll report it to our developers.

2.

But why modules/mod_statistics, mod_community_members is overwrited after update? There are no modifications in patchfile if I download this manuell? iJoomla Updater should only overwrite modified files!

If developers decided to add also modules in hot fix... it's better to listen to them :) Yes, you can update manually but... you do it at your own risk. Did you tried to override modules? Thanks to that you'll upgrade without any risk of loosing your modifications.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
