Users not receiving emails for new PMs after upgrade
My users are reporting that they are not receiving emails notifying them that a new PM has been sent since the recent upgrade in JomSocial. This appears to be an intermittent issue, as some users are getting some notices, and some users are getting none at all. I have validated that the users DO have notifications checked on their preferences.
On my own account, I am getting approximately 50% of the PM notices. I do not know how to tell if the notices are not being generated, or if they are being generated and not sent for some reason. There are not notifications stuck in the mail queue. Part of the problem is that I can't find anywhere to control the throttling of how many are sent at once, so it's possible that they are running into sending limits. I need assistance from the JomSocial folks in troubleshooting this issue.
#1 can you check the noticaitions and email setting please? and make sure notification of new PM is checked there
#2 can you check the Mail queue page in backend, make sure the email is there or not
#3 if everything is ok can you check the spam please?
1 - as i said in the original post - yes, this is flagged in the default settings, and on the settings for the individual users.
2 - as I said in the original post - no, there is nothing in the mail queue.
3 - there is nothing caught in my, or any other users, spam filter. It would be a pretty AMAZING coincidence that every single JS notification was caught in every single user's spam, don;t you think? :)
If you provide a private way for me to communicate it, I would be happy to give you admin login to my test site so you can see for yourself.
