Hello,
I use
SEO Glossary
and it works with all Joomla components except Guru, do you know why ?
Thanks.
Regards.
HI, Jean-Charles.
Guru is a Joomla! component. SEO Glossary needs to have integration with Guru, as Guru content is not strict Joomla! content (stored in com_content).
Please, contact with SEO Glossary developers and ask them for solution. If they need to do integration with Guru - we're open for cooperation.
JoomUnited (SEO Glossary developers) answered me this :
It would be great if SEO Glossary could work in courses descriptions and in the lessons where I put Joomla articles.GURU componnet simply need to trigger content plugin in there extension.
the simple link for that is
docs.joomla.org/Triggering_content_plugins_in_your_extension
for example if you want to put seoglossary in description
you can do template override and then on description where it show
echo $description
simply change it to
echo JHtml::_('content.prepare', $description);
Let me know if that make sense ?
HI, Jean-Charles.
Thank you for passing us SEO Glossary developers tip :)
I'll pass it to our developers.
I can't promise that improvement will take place fast but at least I try to suggest that ;)
Thanks for your reply.
Could you give me a little feedback on this ?
If it won't take place (fast), I will try to implement it by myself.
Thanks.
Regards.
The code is already in Guru lessons page but I saw some plugins who have com_content only option and they are not working with Guru. Developers will look again in code these days and if something is wrong will be fixed and available in next version (in few weeks maybe)
Regards,
Alin
Hi Alin,
Thanks for your feedback.
I checked and I confirm that the SEO Glossary plugin works in the description on all other component like HWD Mediashare, Kunena, Content, K2, ...
Regards.
Can you please send a copy of component and plugin to my email? This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so I can do some tests on local?
Alin,
Many thanks.
I sent you an email.
Regards.
Hi,
We did some research and find out that the plugin will not work with modal pages and our lessons pages are opening in modal.
this is the plugin statement:
// we don't run in modal pages or other incomplete pages
$nogo = array('component','raw');
if(in_array(JRequest::getString('tmpl'),$nogo)) return true;
Great support ! ;-)
I check with the SEO Glossary developer.
Many thanks.
Regards.
Hello,
I checked with the SEO Glossary developer and he agree to move this line in the next release.
However, I think I misunderstood when you said "modal page", you mean Popup ?
I don't use Popup for lesson :
Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.
In this lesson, I try to create a glossary link on AcyMailing, but it doesn't work :-(
Is it working on your side when you choose to not show lesson in modal ?
Thanks for your help.
Regards.
Hello,
Do you receive my message above ?
Maybe the issue will be fixed in Guru 5 ?
Regards.
Hi,
Yes, our modifications regarding plugins support will be available in next Guru release.
Regards,
Alin
