Greetings Pro's,
From JomSocial, I can access all friends and the search options allow me to also search by "Distance From Me". Is it possible to add this same search criteria to the Groups so visitors and members can search for a Cabaret that is within (x) distance from where they may be? Also, on our Main Menu bar we have a menu item named "Events". Is it possible to add the exact same search field here as well so travelers can enter a city, or zip code and see only the events that are taking place at places that are within a drop down box distance from where they may be?

Thank you for contacting us.
You can't add such a criteria to Group as groups do not have location filed.
If you want to have it you'll need to customize group layouts (display and edit) + database.
So this will be rather extensive customization.
Events do have location field. So you may use "JS Nearby Events Search" module.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
