Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
On my site, different choirs use groups to internal communication.
They add events for upcoming rehearsals and concert.
They add repertoire via YouTube links.
I recently found that I can't add the same YouTube link to two independent groups. I get the error: Video already linked.
This means that the first choir choosing to link the YouTube video, will be the only choir who has that possibility,
To reproduce:
Add a YouTube link in one group under "Videos" in group menu.
Add the same YouTube link in another group under "Videos" in group menu.
Thank you for contacting us.
Hmmm, you're right. There is such a limitation.... and the case seems to be real.
I'll pass this to our developers.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Please, make safe copy of this file: ROOT/components/com_community/tables/video.php
Then replace original file with patched file from package.
This patch allow to link the same video by different users on their stream, events and groups. There is still a limitation so one user may link certain video only once but it can be linked by other users.
