Groups options from backend has no effect in frontend

This is urgent! I cant disable group creation or group enable group moderation!

I don't know why, but any change on jomsocial backend regarding to groups has no effect. If set to NO Enable group creation... the Create group button is still there!!!!!!

HELP!

it was XIPT... it was overriding my settings...
