Group Invites

ISSUE SUMMARY:
When receiving group invites, and clicking the link in the invite email, I get blank page with message:
Error
Sorry, you don't have permission to see this group

However, if I'm logged into the site before clicking link in email, I see the group home page with message to accept the invite.

How can I set the login screen on invite emails ?

HI, Laurence.

Thank you for contacting us.
Hmmm... when you're logged in - no login form could be displayed. Please, try to clear your browser cache or reload page with error using CTRL+F5... or logout and then click on invitation.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

When I'm logged in and click the link in the invite email, everything is fine.
When I'm logged out, and click the link in the email I get blank screen with error message:

Error
Sorry, you don't have permission to see this group

But I think the login screen should show rather than an error message. or at the very least, it should state "you must be logged in..."

Hi, Laurence.

This doesn't seems to be an issue... it's rather designed that way....
I could tell more if I could see that group - please, provide URL to it.

This is the link in the invite email
fullcircleccr.com/index.php?option=com_c...roupid=22&Itemid=226

Just seems that If I invite someone to a group, it should be an easy process to either login and join group or create account and join group. As is, it's kind of confusing because there's no direction. just a dead end page with error message.

HI.

I left message to our Project Manage - I'm waiting his opinion in that matter.

HI.

Project Manager confirmed that no login form is per design.
You may use login form module (Hello Me or Joomla's regular login form) to be displayed in any position for non-logged users.
You may combine it with Advanced Module Manager.
And finally edit notification text using Joomla! Language override feature: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word
