You mean that when user joins to a group he/she needs to confirm it in email?
No, there is no such a feature. User doesn't need to confirm their action.
There is only a notification email: i.prntscr.com/d51295120c0540aeba80044e99bec59e.png


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Marc.

You may change it using Joomla! language override:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word
So you don't need to change any file.
Just follow our documentation and create language override for:

COM_COMMUNITY_GROUPS_EMAIL_NEW_MEMBER_JOINED = %1$s joined your group, %2$s \n\nTo view the group, follow the link below:\n\n <a href="{url}">{url}</a>

Just remember to keep all the placeholders like %1$s, %2$s, {url} and breaks like \n so all dynamic elements could be displayed properly.

I apologize for delayed answer.
This email is not sent to a member who joined the group but to a group owner.
It's a notification that member joined your group.
I already mentioned that there is no email that confirm joining to a group - notification is sent only to group owner.
