Creating events in Groups

Hello,

We can not create an event within a group. We want our users to create an event within a group but there is no option to do that. How do we create an event in a group?

Hi.

1. Browse to a group
2. Click "Events" under group cover i.imgur.com/qlRkEhP.png
3. Then click "Create group Events" button i.imgur.com/WFr3Vy9.png
4. Fill the form: i.imgur.com/eqoIHuy.png
5. Click "create event" button
6. Group event will be created: i.imgur.com/uQNSetf.png
7. Group event post will be created and number of group events will increase: i.imgur.com/ONVZAwp.png


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hello,

The create group event button only appears for the admin, we want it to appear for all users. When we tested using a user account it did not show the button but when we logged in as a admin it did.

Hi.

Group events may be created by SU or Group owner/moderator only.
If you want other user to create events in group - you need to promote him/her to group moderator.
