How do I change Group / Event editor to JCE?

Hi, Meagan.

Yes, please, open new thread for it.
But before you do that, try to test it using default Joomla! template "Protostar".

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,
I tested on your demo site and it is broken there as well. I will open another thread.
Thank You.

Hi, Meagan.

Please, make safe copy of this file:

ROOT/components/com_community/controllers/groups.php

Then replace original with patched file from package.

Would this file have been overwritten during the 4.1.5 upgrade process?

What is the status of a proper fix for this? I had previously asked if this file gets overwritten during a jomsocial upgrade, but no one responded. You don't add comments into your files to show that they have bug fixes applied.

HI, Meagan.

This fix was for JS 4.1.4 so it should available also in 4.1.6.
But answering your question - yes, file was overwritten... but it should be overwritten with a file that contain that fix.
If not, please make a safe copy of that file and apply patch again.

I apologize for delayed response. It seems that when you posted your question you didn't changes status of the thread from "Pending customer" to "Pending Support" thus I couldn't see your thread on my TODO list.

Hi, Meagan.

Thank you for reporting this.
I confirm that issue is back.
I reopened previous bug report.

Could you try to apply patch file again? Just make sure that you create a save copy of original file first.

This is still a bug in JS 4.2.2. We had to replace the groups.php file again. When will this become a permanent fix? It has existed for a long time now.
