Greetings Pro's,
I would like to make a change to my index or home page and am hoping you can tell me exactly how to do this. What I would like to do is add the "Featured Groups" and "Featured Members" to the index or home page on my site, www.madd-talent.com . I think these two items, Featured Groups and Featured Members, are modules. Regardless of what these are, is it possible to add them to my index or home page so that when someone lands on www.madd-talent.com they can see the featured groups and featured members?
If this is not possible, or even if it is, how can I create modules that I can place on my home or index page. The issue is simple. Right now, my index or home page is very bland and I want to add something to it so when a first time visitor, which I am getting hundreds of daily, can see there is more to the site than what it currently looks like. I do have an introductory video that I had made and don't know how to add that either and would like to. I realize this is a long question, but I need something added to my index or home page to get these visitors to sign up. Please provide me with as much information on as much of this as you can.

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

You can use the JS Members and JS Group module, and set the list for showing the featured only.

cheers!

Hi,

you can do it from joomla module manager.
and find JS members and JS groups modules. if you cant find it, you need to click "new" and select that module type.
after that you need to setup it, which page and what position to display it. and filter by what.

if you cant do it. I need you to provide me valid super user login detail by editing your first post at this topic.

Regards

Albertus,
I was able to find JS Members and add it just fine. I still cannot find JS Groups, but I will keep looking. I thought there was a module for Featured Groups and Featured Members. Is there?

Thanks,

David

Dimas,
I think I have the modules I would like displayed now showing. However, the JS Groups module is not showing any groups. I will add the information to my back end below. I am sorry, I thought it was already there.

One more question related to JomSocial's Socialize Template. I would like to add content, a module or something below the log in image but I don't know what position will place a module below the log in image and above the footer. I want something between the two modules on Sidebar 1 and sidebar 2 to fill this empty space with info about madd talent.

thanks,

David

regarding another issue, please you provide me the screenshoot, and post it on new topic.
