Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
No group leave when changing memberships in backend
ISSUE SUMMARY:
When I un-select a group membership from a member in backend (Monitor -> Members -> Assign to Group) the request is not being performed. I can see when debugging that my module does not get the "onGroupLeave" request for the un-selected group
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Select any member in backend
2 Click button "Assign to group"
3 Un-select any group
4 Click "Save"
5 Click "Assign to group" again for the same member
RESULT
Group is selected again, member is still assigned to the group
EXPECTED RESULT
Previously un-selected group is still not selected
Thank you for reporting that.
It seems it's a bug as I can replicate it on my test site.
I'll report it to our developers.

- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

thank you for the fix. I can confirm that it removes a group for the member but only when the member is already approved. Non-approved member (still waiting for approval from admin) cannot be removed by this fix.
Yes, that's correct. In that case it will be enough to reject that user request.
user is assigned to a group but is not a "real" member - thus can't be unassigned there. His request needs to be rejected first.
