Invite Friends doesnt work

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Invite friends function doesnt send emails.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 log in
2 go to Invite Friends page
3 fill one or more (comma separated) emails (surely valid and working)
4 send
5 ..i tried it now even on your Demo site and didnt get email either.
RESULT
get message "1 invitation sent!", but the email never arrives
EXPECTED RESULT
recieve invitation emails
BROWSER
chrome

Please provide us working administrator credentials.
I can't login to your site.
Please, edit your first post and add credentials to corresponding fields.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Your issue is caused by lack of cron configuration. So no mailing script is fired = no mail is sent.

I ran cron manually by clicking Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> monitor -> Mail Queue -> Execute cron (button upper right) and all emails was sent:

So all you need to do is to configure cron on your server: bit.ly/10OzfPN
