JomSocial Expired

Hi There,

Have added 'My groups' menu item to the main menu of joomla

However, all the menu items of the Jomsocial toolbar that appear on that 'my group page' redirect back to the same page. That is, if I select ANY item on the JS Toolbar (on that same 'my groups' page arrived at from 'main menu'), the page URL will change to the correct destination, BUT the 'my group page' remains. Please see image below.

Running:
joomla 3.4.0 and JS 4.01.
Firefox 36.0.4

Thanks for your assistance

Hi Trevor,

Your backend access is not working, please you check again :

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Anyway, please make sure you set the "My groups" item id is bigger than another Jomsocial menu, maybe it will help.

thank you

Hi Dimas,

Apologies about that. Are you referring to the admin tools htacess login or the joomla login?
Did you see that I provided htacess login details for the first login created by admin tools?

In addition to the above issue, I have also discovered that the sub menus under the 'profile' menu item in the JS Toolbar are not working. That is,

  • change picture
  • change video
  • edit details
  • preferences
  • customize profile

This maybe related to the other issue. Please could you investigate?
Let me know if you still cannot access the site.

many thanks

Hi Trevor,

Please you check again, this issue caused by gzip compression, I already disable it and seems working fine now.

Yes. That's great, However I don't see where you disabled it, as in global configuration it is still set to YES...?

Just WHERE did you disable it?

The GROUPS link in the JS toolbar (see above image) was not solved by the GZIP fix.

Please could you help with that also?

kind regards

Hi Trevor,

That setting from template manager, edit your template, and you can see the option for compression there.

Thanks Dimas

Are you still working on the GROUPS link in the JS toolbar ?
I noticed something strange.
I logged in as a test user and the link worked.
But in my account, it does not work, showing face image above.

Hope that helps.

weird, please you try open this /tables/groupmember.php, find this code :

$this->bind( $result );

replace to :
if ($result) $this->bind( $result );
		else return false;

Brilliant! Thanks Dimas!

The only thing that comes to mind is that it may of been caused when I changed Group ownership, from myself (admin) to another member. Would that have caused that issue? And, if so why?

OK, so you know what my next question is...?
Will that file (groupmembers.php) be overwritten with the next JS Update or can I forget about it?

best regards
