JomSocial Expired

ISSUE SUMMARY:
How do you change the avatar and the front page photo of each group? I see a thread discussing changing the avatar, but I couldn't quite relate to it. It seems that only appropriate that only the creator of the group can make such a change. And if it's created in the backend, how does that work? There is no obvious button for me to make such changes.

What is Jomsocial's nomenclature for the two photos used on group display? Do you call the big one the avatar and the small square on the avatar thumbnail? Also, what is the preferred dimensions for both images?

This is one of my pet peeves with Jomsocial. Simple minor operations are so seemingly convoluted that I have to contact support…

Thank you for your quick reply.

regards,
SH

Hi.

The big one is called group (r event, or profile...) cover and small one is group avatar.

When group is created in backend then Super User is owner of that group. Cover and avatar could be changed only from frontend. So browse to that group and:

1. Click on small cog icon in cover upper right corner and choose: "Modify Cover": prntscr.com/6jw1aq
2. Click on group avatar (modal window will appear) or cog icon and choose "Change avatar".

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
