Hi,
We would like the "Moderate Group Creation" to be active only for one specific category of groups.
So if you open any group not from category X, you do not need permission to open the group.
But if you want to open a group in category X - you need to get administrator approval.

To do that, we need to insert additional code into the "Create Group" logic. That new code will evoke the existing "Moderate Group Creation" logic.

Can you tell us where the existing logic is so we can use it under specific conditions?

I'm sorry but your request is beyond our technical support. What you're trying to do will require core files to hack.

Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.
