Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I am using Jomsocial for intranet use only and don't want the group admin to delete the group without administrator approval. I am wondering is there any option to disable group deletion on the front-end, I want only super-user or administrator can delete the group on the backend.
If there is no option, what can I do to disable this?
I know there is an option for group create moderation, but why not group delete as well?
What if the group has a lot of contents, and for some reason the group admin is mad and delete the group? What if the group is so important of the site because the group has a lot of contents, users, etc., and suddenly is gone? What will the users going to do, they will be mad as well or they will not come back to the site anymore?
This could be done only via custom hack.
I'll create it for you at Monday.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
From now on only SU will be able to delete group ("Delete" option on frontend will appear only for SU).
