Some questions about groups. (sorry about my bad English)
Hi there,
i've been working on Jomsocial for a while now but i found some problems making groups lockable.
i'll try to explain it.
i'm trying to manage groups as social games where people post activities of stuff done on the real world.
i would like to set my groups as follow:
as an admin i created 3 games (groups).
all the players (users) after registration and account activtion can play only on the first of the three groups. the others (groups) have to be locked. When the player has posted on the first game (group), he will be able to access the second one and so on.
is there a way to show all the groups and be able to access only selected ??
i'm thinking about doing some level access (granted by a numbers of experience points) but i can't be able to do this.
one more thing: is there a way to put groups in alphabetical order by default (when i click on all groups list) instead of clicking on the upper left button ??
Did you tried to use private groups? but then access need to be moderated.
Currently JomSocial doesn't support Joomla! ACL rules.
So probably you'll need a help of professional developer who will do some customizations for you.
You may find them here:

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
