If you click 'Insert/edit image' in a Discussion message how are you meant to add an image? We can't find a way to choose an image.

You are using tinyMCE editor, which for uploading file need additional plugin, for more information you can post to Joomla forum.

But well, there is another solution, you can use JCE editor, JCE editor has function for uploading file. Please you go to Jomsocial Configuration->Layout-> and change "Use Text Editor" to "plg_editor_jce"
