Hi guys,

I have the problem, that invites to groups is only possible for friends. (E.g. if I want to invite another person to my group, I have to be friends with this person) In the case we use JomSocial it should be possible to invite any user registered. Is this possible?

If not: Is it possible to be automatically friends with everyone on the page to solve it?

If not: Any other suggestions how to solve this?

No, you can't change that and user can't be friend of all registered user by default. Just like in other social medias you can send invites only to friends. In other case this feature could be abused (there are block penalties in FB for sending non-friend invitations). This suppose to protect user to be not flooded by invites from users that they don't even know.

Changing that will be quite hard and will require you to hire a professional developer. And - most important - this will be possible only wia core files hack.

Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.

So there is no real solution for this, I'm sorry.
