I am the administrator and have created all the groups and am the admin for all the groups. We are exclusively an intranet setup and I have tried to find a way to assign groups to our members without having to login as them, but couldn't find a way to do it. No big deal, but now I have added a couple of groups to a member in error and can't figure out how I can delete them. The wiki page shows a member list with a button to delete the member from the group, but I can't find where that is offered. We are on version 3.2.15.

Since I am the admin, I should be able to view all the members in all groups from the frontend and I get no access errors. This is also an issue.

Please you login as group admin / super user in frontpage, then go to detail group page->list members, you can delete the members of that group from there.
