I'd like to implement "Share With" feature whereby a group manager/ administrator has the ability to share a post/ photo/video only with select members of the group. Not broadcast to the entire group. How can we accomplish this? What files do we need to override?

Essentially there'll be 2 buttons - Share With & Post. Or it could be implemented as a drop down.

Your hack will be very complicated, simply you can show/hide the sahrebox container from this file components/com_community/templates/default/groups.viewgroup.php, but that wont be as simple as like that.. you need hire the 3rd party developer to achive this. www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers

I tried to contact a few developers and some not ready to implement this feature and others charging an unreasonable amount. It isn't too complicated. I want the Group Administrator to be able to share information (video, picture, text) with a subset of members within the group, and not with the entire group everytime (default functionality). If you can point me to the files/ relevant code I'll start work on it myself.

well, this is very complicated.. not a easy job to be honest.. I cant help you too much. sorry..

I suggest you create the private group for this, so only members on that groups who able see your group content
