Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I need to set a screen to tell people to log in to view the content.
This is especially important when a registered user sends an invitation to a NON registered user.
It is also important for registered users that are not logged in.
Currently all Groups are for registered users. We want our members to send a link to non members (+ members also!) and when the visitor clicks the link JOMSOCIAL needs to be more friendly and say, " This group is for members only. To join this group please LOG IN [link] -or- REGISTER [link]
Because I can't access your site. got 403 message, I think my IP blocked by your site.
But I try to give you the best answer from my understanding. Do you mean want changing the alert message? (as attached)
That warning message is for "global" not for certain page.
If so. You must edit the language variable, for English /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini
From
COM_COMMUNITY_PERMISSION_DENIED_WARNING="You do not have permission to view this resource. Please contact the Site Administrator."
To
COM_COMMUNITY_PERMISSION_DENIED_WARNING="This page is for members only. To join please <a href='/index.php?option=com_community'>LOG IN</a> -or- <a href='/index.php?option=com_community&view=register'>REGISTER</a>"
Hi Albert,
Thanks for being fast to reply.
I know about the language overrides - this is okay but not fabulous from a UX point of view. We can add the overrides no worries.
I would like the LOG In + Register module to be shown with these messages to reduce the number of clicks for the users and make it super easy. You know people are lazy :)
If there is a way to do this then great - if not I will just use the overrides in Joomla to change the messages.
We have not received any response back from you in over 7 days, and would like to know if you consider this issue to be resolved. If you have any further questions, simply reply to this post.
