Our site is to have restricted access, only for members. However, insecure links to groups are mailed via email notices and announcements. Are you able to advise how to correct?

Hi Geoff,

There is another way to achive this, you can go to Jomsocial Toolbar Menu Manager from backend, edit each menu and change the access to registered only.. all jomsocial links will be set as private for members only then :)

I hope it will help.

thank you

Hi Dimas, they are all already set to Registered, except for the JomSocial HOME page which is set on Public in another main menu.

Thanks, that seems to fix the hole, but is creating another problem. Perhaps you can advise:

We want our logged in members to have the JomSocial Home page as the home. The REAL Joomla Home page (default) will be the login page which I'd like to hide after they log in. However, when a user is logged in, if they hit the root url, the Default page becomes unavailable.

What is the best strategy to have the JomSocial home as the Home Page for members, but not guests, and not create a security hole?

thanks,
Geoff

Hi Geoff,

If I see your website, i think the home page after logged already to Jomsocial home page, and if not logged (guest) everything restricted. Is that correct, isnt it?

thank you
