I'm just wondering if there is an option to have Join Now & Participate button just after first post instead of entire conversation?
Similar approach as you have in your forum ?

Hi Creic,

Do you mean in Jomsocial group feature? I am sorry that is impossible, to join and follow the group you need click the "Join group" first, and that is one only trigger for it.
