Is there a way to make private groups not show in the community box? Is there a way that the people in this group would get a notification when someone else post within the group? And do you guys have an app for this platform?

Hi Shane,

#1 By default all posts to private groups wont show to the stream, except to the logged members who already joined to that group

#2 if you are member of that group you will get notification then, but please make sure you enable the cron job for this documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Setting_Up_Cron_Job
