I'm getting this error, every time I try to access a group.

Any idea why?

Hi Marcos Paulino,
I have disabled "SEO friendly url" and "URL rewriting" and now see the group is showing fine.
We may need to check if the .htaccess file is working fine there or not.
Can you provide us ftp info by editing your first post of this topic please?

Hi Ashraf,

There are several issues happening.

When I logout by clicking the button on the toolbar, it should redirect to:

dashpoint.ca/index.php?lang=en (With current SEO Friendly URL Setting)

and it is redirecting to:

dashpoint.ca/index.php?option=com_commun...e&Itemid=699&lang=en

Also,

The facebook login is giving a blank screen now.

Lastly,

If I use the standard login, I get redirected to:

www.dashpoint.ca/index.php?option=com_co...e&Itemid=699&lang=en

You know that it is not redirecting properly because the Home button is NOT higlighted/selected.

This is all I need to make this site live Ashraf. Please help... Too long on the same issue and no concrete solution in sight.

I tried enabling the JS Redirect plugin, and I noticed that when "Redirect back to previous page" is selected, it works somewhat well, with logins, but logouts, redirect to the same page as well. It should redirect back to the login page. Redirect back to previous page should only redirect to the login page when logging out.

I'm just trying to get this to work. So when you begin to work on this ticket, email me so that I can stop.

I have checked the issues you are having and found the following

1. The login redirect issue
I have logged into your site using the Jomsocial "hero" login screen, the green login button and also used the standard joomla login page. I am logged in successfully on all occasions. Regardless of the login method used when i press the log out icon on the socialize toolbar (top right) i am redirected to yoursite.ca/index.php?lang=en every time. This is correct functionality

2. The facebook connect is a confirmed bug and we will be releasing a patch for this in the next day or so.

3. The topic title of Missing Controller - Contact Administrator i am not sure i understand, is this another issue? if so can you please give me some more information or was this related to an SEO issue? I see that Ash has disabled SEO to confirm that jomsocial or the template isn't the fault.

If i have mis understood the issues please reply and let me know. I'm happy to assist you with any jomsocial issues but SEO, 3rd party or joomla issues are outside the scope of our support.

1. The login redirect issue

It happens the first two times. Try logging in and out using the same procedure and then what happens is that you are logged in to FB, for example, but you are not redirected anywhere unless you do a hard refresh on the browser.

I actually didnt have any issues here, it was working fine, with the exception of the redirect issue.

This is new, when the the standard SEO and friendly URL functionality was removed from joomla, the issue stopped. If you switch it on, it comes back. I guess I will have to live with ugly URL's for the time being.

I completely agree, this is why I am stumped. I don't want to install any third party component until I have the basic login/signup-logout process in place. Once I have this, I'm golden.

What I'm finding is that JS has too many places where redirections occur. Standard joomla language redirection to the home page, JS "Frontpage" component redirection, Joomla redirect, facebook redirect, and the JS redirect component. The issue started with us I believe when we enabled multi language. I'm guessing something to do with the "all" menu or the aliases. Your guess is as good as mine.

I'm glad you were able to login and out with ease. That takes a load off my chest since I'm sending out an email tonight to everyone. I hope you can have this fixed by then.

I will go back and look a bit more in detail at the extra info you have. Once i can replicate it i'll get a developer to look at it this morning.

Hi Marcos Paulino,
I have enabled the "SEO Friendly" and "URL Rewriting" options and seeing the site is working fine with group page issue.
I am also seeing the login, logout redirection is also working fine.
But I didn't do anything with .htaccess file.
Have you done anything?
