Files upload in IE 9

Hello,

I try to upload a file in a group, but it doesn't work in IE 9 (Jomsocial 3.2.0.1.):

When I click on 'upload file' and I get a popup window.
There is no layout, just html text with 'add files' and 'start upload'.
So, I click on 'add files', but nothing happens.
No problems in Firefox and Chrome!

Can you help me?

Hi Frank,

I am sorry for the late reply to this post. I have checked on your site and the file upload is working in IE9, but there are some styling issues when the file uploads. The buttons disappear and return when you press the link "add more files" I will add this as a bug and get our designers to look at it.

If i have misunderstood something or my reply is incorrect could you please add a screenshot of the problem so i can see what you are referring to

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply, but I still have a problem with uploading files.

I took a printscreen, see attachment.
So, when I click on "add files", the popup window disappears (close) and I'm back on the community page.
There is no popup window where I can select a local file...
Will you look again? Thanks!

Hi Frank,

I have looked into this further and tested again on IE9. The problem is that IE 9 does not support HTML5 which is what the file upload box uses to upload files. So that explains why you are not seeing the window. But what should be happening is it should re direct the user back to the old upload method. Which it isn't.

The odd thing is i don't get a blank screen, i get the correct page and once i press the upload button the page redirects back to the all groups page.

I have logged this as a bug, but the best thing i can suggest is the the user updates their browser. Not only with their browsing experience be better on many sites, but they are also using a browser that has known security issues

This issue has been resolved and is in the latest release of Jomsocial 3.2.07
