I have a very similar problem to the one described here:

Whenever someones tries to join a private group nothing happens visibly (although the owner of the group gets the emails).
I read that it might be connected to the Kunena Plugin and we do indeed use that but I couldn't find a solution so far.

Can you tell me what to do to fix this problem?
That would help a lot.
