Hello, files which are uploaded in a group discussion can not be opened or downloaded on IOS devices. You can test it on demo.jomsocial.com. It does not work there and on my page it does not work too.
Any solution for this? Most people use internet on mobile devices today...

Ios has the limited function for reading data from the downloaded file, because in Jomsocial you need download the file first before you can open it.

I suggest you try install the 3rd party app for your ios in cydia or app store for how to read the downloaded file as well.

But we aware, we should improve this feature, so the user can read the file from the browser instead download the file first. I will try to raise this in version 3.3
