Same back-end groups problem as the rest

Hi, I see a lot of people are having the same problem with the groups in the back end, when a group is selected the window that opens cannot be seen completely.

I tried the 'quick fix' you provided, but it resulted in a few PHP errors- the page crashing.

If you can give some other suggestion, or should we wait for the upgrade?

1. Try to upgrade to current JomSocial version -> 3.1.1
2. Check if issue still persist.
3. If yes edit this file: ROOT/administrator/components/com_community/assets/css/bootstrap.min.css
Look for:

#js-cpanel .modal {
    background-clip: padding-box;
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
    border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);
    border-radius: 6px;
    box-shadow: 0 3px 7px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);
    left: 50%;
    margin-left: -280px;
    outline: 0 none;
    position: fixed;
    top: 50%;
    width: 560px;
    z-index: 1050;

Comment out two lines like this:
/* position: fixed;
top: 50%; */
4. Check if issue still persist.
5. If yes go to Extensions -> Template Manager -> change administrator template from Isis to Hathor

Now issue should be gone for sure :)

Issue is caused by jQuery and Bootstrap loaded second time by Joomla for Hathor template.

Hi,

1. I wasn't able to upgrade as it says it is up to date.

2. I commented out the suggested, but the problem wasn't fixed

3. I don't want to use Hathor, I don't think anyone does, so any other suggestions? I tried a few variations in Bootstrap css, none of them worked

Current version of JomSocial is 3.1.1 you have 3.1.0.4.
Install this extension - iJoomla installer and upgrade JomSocial with it.

Updated, commented, edited the bootstrap file.. cannot fix the issue.

What else can we try, as I will not switch to Hathor?

I changed top value from 50% to 40% and now seems to be fine.
Please confirm if it works for you.

Did you cleared browser cache?
Click CTRL+F5

I think it was fixed with the first edit I did, it just didn't dawn on me to clear the cache..
