When attempting to use the "Assign to Group" feature in admin backend (Jomsocial/dashboard/monitor/members) an empty window opens with no dialog or options. See image below

i have a good news for you :) i'll give you a quick fix for this issue, i hope this can help.. but please before do a quick fix, don't forget to BACKUP your site first :)

Just upload this file on
administrator > components > com_community > controllers

and replace groups.php file.. :) Please let me know if this is works for you :)

Thanks for the "fix", the feature seems to be working fine now. I assume if the bug is fixed in the next release this "fix version" of the groups.php file will be overwritten when I upgrade?

Yes, this file will be overwritten with the new one from latest upgrade :)
