JomSocial Expired

Hi Guys !

I purchased Jomsocial a week ago and must say it is an amazing product!. Keep up the good work!

Anyway as I delve deeper in setting up I am encountering a few script errors. This is a brand new install with no add-ons at this point. The first problem I am experiencing is in the "group section" when changing the owner of a group, I am receiving the following error; When I go to Jomsocial >> Groups >> View >> [Select Group ] - change owner. It xcomes up with...

Fatal error: Class 'CommunityControllerGroups' not found in /var/www/vhosts/16/228981/webspace/httpdocs/software24x7.com/administrator/components/com_community/community.php on line 158

I checked and this file exists.

Please help.

Hi Kevin.

I just checked your site and everything seems to work just fine for me, so maybe I'm missing something? Could you provide us with some exact steps how we can replicate this problem?

Once you login to the admin control panel you can recreate the error message by browsing to;

Jomsocial >> Components >> Groups >> View Groups
-it is coming up with this error message;

Fatal error: Class 'CommunityControllerGroups' not found in /var/www/vhosts/16/228981/webspace/httpdocs/software24x7.com/administrator/components/com_community/community.php on line 158

thanks

Hi Kevin.

I just installed the latest version of JomSocial on your site and everything seems to work just fine, did you made any modifications to our core files? They may cause this problem.

Hi Chris -
(I just realized this after I posted the additional information below)

ALL OF SUDDEN THE SITE NO LONGER ALLOWS 'VISITORS' TO VIEW EXISTING GROUPS FROM THE FRONT PAGE-WHICH IS ESSENTIAL.

IN A NUTSHELL IS THERE A WAY TO REINSTALL / RESET JUST THE GROUP SECTION TO THE ORIGINAL DEFAULTS. THIS IS HARMLESS SINCE WE HAVE NOT REALLY MADE ANY CHANGES TO THE APPLICATION JUST ADDING NEW TEST USERS AND POSTING ARTICLES?

No modifications whatsoever. It is a brand new install and I have not added any additional extensions and no modifications to the core files - not even the banner. I downloaded the latest version after purchase 1 week ago. Any changes were done through the Jomsocial control panel like un publishing modules I did not want on the front page.

To recreate the error message browse to Jomsocial >> Components >> Groups >> View Groups [ Change Group Owner]

Fatal error: Call to a member function load() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/16/228981/webspace/httpdocs/software24x7.com/administrator/components/com_community/controllers/groups.php on line 401

***then try changing the group owner to another user and it gives an error message. Fortunately, this is not critical but just discerning that it may have other implications in other areas on the front end.
( I have attached a screenshot as well)
