Hi

I'm looking to change the categories in groups to maybe just two options. In other words removing the different selections in the drop down list such as automotive, business , general, music and so on. Is there anywhere I can do this easily or even tell me where to start. An exact how to would be greatly appreciated!

Backend -> JomSocial -> Groups -> Group categories

Cant be more simpler than that :)

Cheers I figured it out now. Also if I want to remove the group section entirely or even temporarily. can that be done through settings? I tried turning off groups but its appearing in main menu to users still and it would seem they can still create a group even if the settings are disabled?

Would it require much coding and if so could you provide steps if your allowed to?

Removing the group category is ofcourse, also available.
As for group staying in the menu after they are being turned off, it would really be helpful if you provided some access to your site so we can see it on the spot instead of guessing what is going on.
